A few days ago, the Washington Post listed 16 U.S. cities that foreign governments issue travel warnings about due to their high levels of crime.
With policing a responsibility of local government in the United States, I decided to look up the mayors of these cities.
Do you notice a pattern?
Boston: Thomas Merino (Democrat)
New York: Michael Bloomberg (Independent), Mayor Elect Bil de Blasio (Democrat)
Washington DC: Vincent Gray (Democrat)
Baltimore: Stephanie Rawlings-Blake (Democrat)
Richmond: Dwight Clinton Jones (Democrat)
Pittsburgh: Luke Ravenstahl (Democrat) Mayor Elect Bill Peduto (Democrat)
Cleveland: Frank G Jackson (Democrat)
Detroit: Davd Bing (Democrat), Mayor-Elect Mike Duggan (Democrat)
Chicago: Rahm Emmanual (Democrat)
St Louis: Francis S Slay (Democrat)
Houston: Annise Parker (Democrat)
Atlanta: Kasim Reed (Democrat)
New Orleans: Mitch Landrieu (Democrat)
Miami: Tomas Regaldo (Republican)
Los Angeles: Eric Garcetti (Democrat)
El Paso : John Cook (Democrat)
Tim Andrews is Executive Director of the Australian Taxpayers' Alliance & Publisher of Menzies House.
So what are we to deduce from this list
It seems at a glance to list all the major cities of the USA,,,some of which I know well after many family visits to the USA
All major cities have generally large populations of poor black inhabitants and much unemployment/poverty/low mimiumum wages and other ralated problems...all of which cause much petty crime or worse
Unlike Australia, the USs has few welfare provisions to assist such people and also their inner cities unlike ours have never been "gentrified" but have much run down slum housing so what is to be done ??"
Certainly the very wealthy in the US pay little tax...can they be better taxed to allievate the poverty underlying such problems
it's not really the problem of the Democrat Mayors but of US ccapitalism...what the Pope just recently ncalled"the excesses of predatory capitalism"
maybe that's a solution !

Why do you blame the crime on "black inhabitants"?
Posted by: Anton | November 18, 2013 at 12:37 AM
More blacks feature in crime statistics ...much higher than the percentile in the US population
sad but true that many more young blacks are in prison than young whites

You didn't understand the question.
Why do you classify criminals based on the colour of their skin? The definition of a criminal is somebody who has been found by a court to have broken the law.
Why do you feel the need to classify people based on skin colour?
Posted by: Anton | November 18, 2013 at 01:15 AM
Blacks kids are likely to feature more in the statistics because they often come from very deprived backgrounds
I know Chicago well. I ..have son and family living there in a very upmarket suburb...one thing I always notice...no blacks at all in his street...lots though in the southside slums, and much crime reported in the local media usual from there...so what does that tell us?
You seem to have trouble making the obvious conclusions...

You seem to have trouble making the obvious conclusions...
That people with black skins are criminals?
Really? Is that actually true?
How will I be able to maintain my reputation as a racist against that?

Perhaps this might be a solution if carried out widely

The solution to socialism is more socialism?
What happens to Seattle when Boeing leave the state?

.... Certainly the very wealthy in the US pay little tax ....
What utter crap.
And, like the rest of your "arguments," absolutely fallacious. If "poverty" was the problem, the Roosevelt Depression years would have been the most crime-affected. Those years saw very little crime.
Meanwhile, in Actual America, the wealthiest 1% of us pay 36.73% of income taxes; the top 5%, pay 58.66%, the top 10%, pay 70.47%; the top 25%, 87.30% of all taxes and the top 50% of us, pay a total of 97.75% of all income taxes.
The bottom 50% of income earners pays the other 2.25%.
The average "welfare recipient" in Hawaii and Alaska is doled an equivalent pre-tax income in excess of $60,000.00 per year and nationally an average of around $45,000.00.
Your anecdotal dribblings notwithstanding, the reason the cities this piece highlights are America's most dangerous is because their corrupt fascissocialist (but I repeat myself) "administrations" pro-actively attract the folk you've noticed gathered in their inner cities.
They attract them and they, cynically, (by paying "single mothers' "benefits," eg) breed them,(effectively) because those folk increase the Leftists' "administrations'" budgets and power and (just as are those as-effectively bred especially for the purpose in post-the-traitor-Whitlam's increasingly Canberra-centralized-authoritarian-regulatory -- totalitarian, that is -- Australia) are the "Democrats" natural constituency!
As, in Australia, the same kinds of poor basta*ds are the ALP/Greenz Gang's.

it;s worthless to debate someone who considers Obama a fascistsocialist... whatever that is !
Your desire to malign Obama flies in the ace of logic

Why is it worthless to debate Brian? Is it because he call out rubbish you attempt to use as fact or is it that you are one of the few people on this planet that doesn't see Obama for what he is?

I think Francis is objecting to your habit of always bringing facts to an argument.

Anton, it amazes me that these people, and there are a few of them commenting on MH, don't do a bit of research before launching into what they think is fact as opposed to the real deal.

Apart from alpaso all the others also have strict gun laws. This happens when you try to blame a thing instead of dealing with the problems. The U.S. has a race problem a drug problem and a poverty problem and all the obarma administraion can come up with is more gun control. It realy worked here as pre 1995 we didn't evan record home invasions in QLD as they were so rare now we have 2000 last year thanks john.
