Someone please seek a comment from Tania Plibersek…oh I’m sorry she’s too busy bashing conservative men over imaginary misogyny…

Meet Maulana Syed Mohammad Zaki Baqri (you knew there was going to be a Mohammed in there somewhere). According to the Council of Islamic Guidance, he’s been providing “aggressive and concerned” leadership and guidance to Toronto Shiites since 1979.
From his web site, he offers the following advice on the role of women in marriage from his handy guide – “Marriage is a gift of God” by Maulana Mohammad Syed Zaki Baqri:
“She needs to have the permission of her husband for a number of things, including, leaving the home…communicating and speaking with others…”
When you hear things like this from Islamics it is easy to understand what 1400 years of inbreeding has done to their intelligence and sanity.
Another one of them, Shaik Abdul Aziz ibn Baaz, Supreme authority of Islam in Saudi said "If the earth is rotating as they claim, the countries, the mountains, the trees, and the rivers will have no bottom and the people will see the eastern countries move to the west and the western countries move to the east. The earth is flat, and anyone claiming it is round is an atheist deserving punishment"
Hajatosalem Kazem Sedighi Iranian Islamic scholar said this, "Many women who do not dress modestly, lead young men astray, corrupt their chastity and spread adultery in the society, which increases earthquakes."

Plenty of Christian Fundies would agree with that sentiment Allan. Want references?
Over to you Peter.....

Nota Bene - not in any way defending Islam.

Don't aim your smartarse remarks at me Dent. Your anti-religion comments are offensive to most who view you as the fool that you are.

I believe some muslim 'scientist' some time ago wrote a thesis or something on the benefits of drinking camel piss. Apparently the practice was sanctioned by their so called prophet. I kid you not.

Sorry Allan, I didn't mean to offend you.
So,it's okay to deride only one monotheistic religion on this site - Islam.
Hasn't anyone else here noticed the double standards from the regulars?
Heard of pastor Danny Nalliah, the leader of the Rise up Australia Party? Perhaps Andy Semple could post an article on that loon.

Islam is not a religion Arthur, monotheistic or otherwise. How many times do you have to be told that before it sink into your thick head.
Islam is an ideology that is a total system - political, economic, law and religion and anything else that I have omitted. Trying to pass it off as a downtrodden, misunderstood and monotheistic religion that is copping the wrong end of the stick has about as much credibility as the tooth fairy and is only an excuse that would be put forward by the extremely stupid.

I don't recall any other religion killing you should you leave it or say something nasty about it...
Islam by the way, is a political ideology and it measures its success in body pieces...

It is quite appalling that Labor with the Green's help imported over 40,000 of the followers of this sick ideology into our country. We should start now adapting some of the strong laws that some European nations are having to adapt in response to the deteriorating conditions brought on by the influx of these intolerant followers of a mass murdering pedophile.

You had better let Tony Abbott in on this, Andy - he's living in a state of delusion.
"I think that the Muslims in this country see themselves rightly as fair dinkum dinky di Australians, just as the Catholics and the Jews and the Protestants and the atheists, we see ourselves as Australians."
-Tony Abbott

Who let the other 400,000 in Allan?
You seem to be labelling me as an apologist for Islam. I most certainly am not.
I reckon Muhammad was an epileptic suffering from delusions when he thought that God sent Gabriel to him with various revelations, resulting in a plagiarised text known as the Koran.
I honestly don't know how ANYONE can believe this stuff. Call it faith, and it gets a free pass.
Oh, as for the paedophile label - the age of consent was raised in England in 1875 to....13. In Delaware US in 1895, it was 7. Zeitgeist stuff.

oops.
Mixed up two responses there.
Apologies to Jim and Allan.

"Who let the other 400,000 in Allan?" Just what are you talking about Dent. Nobody mentioned 440,000, only you. I think they are a result of puffing the terrible weed, Arthur.
You are being accused for being an apologist for Islam because that is exactly what you are. Like all of your ilk, when questioned you revert to the old "Not me, I'm only saying" trick.
You believe that you have the argument won with your out of date references to the 1800's but in fact you choose to ignore that Western world has moved on since those times.
However, you fail to acknowledge that the Islamics are still stuck in the medieval times of 1400 years ago because they adhere to the teaching of that pedophlic leader of their monotheistic religion, Mohammed who appears to override Allah.
As for pedophilia, the Islamics still practice it so take your useless references and put them where the sun don't shine sunshine because they are redundant, irrelevant and useless.

Was refering to the muslim population of Australia.

["She needs to have the permission of her husband for a number of things, including, leaving the home…communicating and speaking with others…”]
Indeed, and this is what happens to those that have the misfortune to speak to one of their cattle class wives by mistake:
