Tough times for beef producer family who struggled with live cattle export ban
Mr Sullivan and his family are accustomed to the vagaries of the weather, but what they hadn't factored in was having their livelihood and lifestyle attacked abruptly by a political campaign two years ago aimed at ending the live cattle trade to Indonesia.
Animal activists had a bone to pick with beef producers over the mistreatment of Australian cattle in Indonesian abattoirs.
...But the ferocity of the campaign orchestrated by Animals Australia, the RSPCA and GetUp! blindsided him - particularly the personal abuse and death threats via social media.

What those sick puppy Labor stooges did to this industry should be considered treason. The Abbott government has now got agreement with China to start taking cattle from the north and hopefully this will not take to long to get going. I'm betting that once there is competition for our prime beef that Indonesia will try and get more from us as well and will be kicking themselves as they may have to pay more for it than previously. I hope even further markets are found, all eggs in one basket is never a good idea.
