NSW Government renewed Sydney Harbour lease for company linked to Eddie Obeid
The O'Farrell Government signed a new lease for a lucrative property at Sydney's Circular Quay with a front company associated with disgraced NSW Labor powerbroker Eddie Obeid, on the same day a major corruption inquiry opened into his affairs last year.
The Arc Cafe is located on the edge of the harbour, opposite the Quay's bustling ferry wharves, and benefits from the millions of visitors who flock to the glittering tourist hot-spot each year.

Nothing in the commercial business world sickens me more than the Obeid business / politics mode of operation, but the SHFA has a pretty good point as to why this extension was granted at this time if true, and if the cafe is being well run. E. Obeid, his family and his cabal of crooked mates are in for a well deserved rough time, let us all hope it gets even rougher for them with a little time in the slammer.
