First trip shows Abbott at home on the world stage
TONY Abbott may not have yet stopped the boats. But at least he has stopped the general hysteria of the last three years of minority government.
A conspicuous silence has fallen over Canberra since September 7. It is the silence of a government presumably doing what it should be doing rather than ceaselessly screaming at the electorate.

Ever since his days as John Howard's head kicker, Abbott has been attacked and derided relentlessly by Labor. They have done their utmost to portray him as the devil incarnate, and their worst fear, which they also tried to establish within the electorate, was that he might one day lead the Liberal party, and Allah forbid even become PM.
Well their fear has now been realized, and they will just have to suck it up and watch while he and his other ministers accomplishes those tasks both domestic and international that they were to incompetent to handle.

Tony Abbott's home runs in Indonesia are a huge slap in the face to an incompetent Labor and especially Rudd. After all the huffing, puffing and strutting the world stage like a peacock, his unshakeable belief that he was the only Australian politician deserving of international acclaim, Rudd didn't achieve as much in six years as Abbott has in less than a week.
