The Australian senator ordered to be deported by Malaysia as a ''security risk'' previously acted as an emissary for Malaysia's opposition leader, Anwar Ibrahim, carrying a warning letter to the federal government.

The South Australian senator Nick Xenophon was detained at Kuala Lumpur airport on Saturday after being told there was a technical hitch with his passport and was then escorted to a holding cells area, although he was not put in a cell.

Carr's wife is Malaysian and she is financed by the Australian taxpayer to live a life of style & comfort, she needs to use her enormous influence to get a better outcome and at least give the Australian taxpayer some value for money

I can't recall either Sen Zenophon or Sen Carr leaping to the defence of a properly elected member of the Dutch Parliament, Geert Wilders. As I recall, neither leapt to his defence in being frustrated in obtaining a visa to speak here last year. More of the same leftard BS. We can interfere in another country's domestic politics, but God help anyone else who tries it on here.

Totally agree. What does that do to the marveellous policy Gillard was trying to set up with Malaysia re asylum seekers?
