The Cost of Freedom

Daniel Emmerson takes aim at recent calls by The Greens for media censorship:

Lately we have seen the emergence of more and more of the radical Greens campaign against freedom and common sense with Bob Brown and Christine Milne both appearing on the media spotlight in recent weeks to slam the free press. Brown appearing to a media conference accusing great and respected news papers as "hate media" and Milne appearing on ABC's highly popular Q&A program scary outline the Greens communication policy where all media under their totalitarian regime would be under the total control of their Party.

What we are talking about here is the utter decimation of the free press as we know it , the end of all debate, public discourse, free journalism and absolute thought control would be the norm. Australia as one of the worlds leading countries in the developed world would be reduced to third world with insane communist controls and when combined with the Greens twisted Anti-Israel stance leads to a pretty scary train of thought.

When we examine who exactly these people are, as I have in previous outlined in other articles, and we look at the party norm  that is being pushed by Greens like Rhiannon Lee, who some say will replace Brown as party leader when he retires and who seemingly doesn't toe any line of reasoned debate, we should be worried about our very freedom.

When they openly support media censorship and policies that discriminate about a whole race of people, where does it end? They say history repeats itself and I recall this sort of regime happening once before in history and millions died in camps. That administration rose to power because of a weak government and because the Gillard government is so weak also it is allowing these people to run amok unchallenged and unchallenged.

We are seeing a complete fracture of the Labor Party with the traditional far left base splitting and joining the environmentalists and others who are being drawn to The Greens because of their far left naive utopian vision.  When they push and support the complete shutdown of all mining industries , cattle exports, owning pets and a very liberal drug policy that would see syringes handed out like candy to young and old.

The Greens also are responsible for muscling the Gillard government into the Carbon Tax that less then 20% of the Australian public wants and has scientifically been proven to do squat to save the planet whilst at the same time making them seem responsible and almost destroy them in the process. Bob wants to be in the Lodge and said so on many times that this will happen, well if it did actually did happen how would this affect you.

If Bob was in lodge your say doesn't matter because under a Green government, they know what's best for you and your family, they tell you how and where to spend your money, what to think and what's best for you and be damned what you think about it. Total media control would be 100% approved by Greens and airing and printing material only approved by the environmentalist movement and that agrees with their far left policy propaganda.

I fear for Australia under the control of these people as Australia would shift from a beautiful democratic country with a great economy where our children are free to run and play into a miserable grey Communistic state with big government and no freedom, but to unashamed communists like Rhiannon Lee that's exactly what they want and aspire for, to crush our freedom.

Do we really want to vote Green again? Do we really want this for Australia?

I know what my answer is.

Right, “thought control” is spot on. The Greens especially are masters of Newspeak: green energy, gay marriage, climate refugees, carbon pollution, invasion day, medical marijuana, and so on.

Science and history are sacrificed for mob politics, as Le Bon and Orwell correctly warned. And the debate is always over, or there are consequences. It is as you write, “the end of all debate.”

It is not surprising that the Greens, as the de facto communist party of Australia, would want eliminate freedom of expression.

Of more concern is the number of "journalists" that promote this objective.

I see Getup is launching another partition to place before the Gillard government to investigate our media institutions....that's code for trawling through News Limited media, notably The Australian, who are well known for their criticism of the worst government in Australian history. Ideally Gillard & Co would love nothing better than to have all news outlets singing the praises of her lousy government....

Shutting down debate and dissent is the desired aim....and Getup will help them achieve it. Getup is nothing more than an activist front for Left.
